What would you do if what you said could get you put in jail and carry a probable death sentence? As Americans, we enjoy our freedom of speech, and many of us use it frequently. I, Bri, am guilty of that often. This campaign is about an Egyptian student who was imprisoned for 4 years for doing what everyone should have the right to do…
What did he say? Here is a synopsis of his blog content…
“Kareem’s writings, mostly in Arabic, have appeared on his blog and on Modern Discussion. He has written about political repression, religious extremism, and discrimination against women. Kareem often expressed ‘secular’ views and called for equality for women in all aspects of Egyptian society. He also denounced violent attacks on Christians in Alexandria.”
To an American doesn’t sound wrong does it, to air those views?
To Egpyt and his parents it was.
“What did his family say about all this?
Days before the jail sentence, his family publicly disowned him, and his father called for applying the Sharia on his son by giving three days to repent, followed by having him killed if he did not announce his repentance.”

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit issued a statement rejecting the interference of anyone, “whoever he may be”, in the work of the Egyptian judiciary, or anyone commenting on its provisions.
- The Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C., wrote a letter to The Washington Post defending Kareem’s imprisonment, claiming that Kareem was sentenced under an impartial judicial process. U.S. Congressman Trent Franks and the Free Kareem Coalition both had their responses to the Embassy published.”
Why are the US Military members of Nevemore supporting this campaign?
Freedom of speech, we have fought for it, almost died for it, and many of our friends and family have fought for it and lost the battle to ensure that the US maintains their rights, and that others of other countries may gain them. We in the US have rights that are taken for granted, that are “God” given rights (no matter which religion it is you follow). People of the US forget WHY they have these rights, and the struggle some of us have went through to make sure WE DO NOT LOOSE THEM!! They forget how lucky they are and things like this is a cruel reminder.
The service members of Nevermore are backing not only freedom of speech, but HUMAN RIGHTS EVERYWHERE by backing and supporting this campaign.
Freedom, it’s a beautiful thing.

The season for RFL is over until next year. I was honored to be apart of it with the Military Vets Group For RFL team. I am pretty damn proud of us all. We are a small team, started a bit late, but we went GOLD!! As of now we have helped raised L$698,730 (which is between 2,800 and 2,900 USD) for the cause to find a cure.
I relayed this year for two very special people in my life, my big sister Marlena and my Uncle Emory who are still fighting the hard battle with an enemy we can’t kill. I also relay for those who are still struggling to win and in the memory of all those who have been lost.
I would like to take the time to mention some of my fantastic team members, Gwill Brickworks, Tempest Guise, Garret Mehrtens, Sabryne Rhode, and Kal Habana for everything, ESP G and Tempie for pulling the team on all those laps, through lag, and various sim crashes.
I would also like to thank those who were not on the team who busted their butts to help us this year. Kayle Flanagan, Cladestino Milena, JoeUSA Shelbyville, Vanny Wilder, Mance Moonwall, Strummer Vultee, Blue4U Nowicka, Midnight McCarty, ALL THE AWESOME DJS who worked their butts off on our 2 day Music Fest, and all the countless ppl who donated their hard earned L.
Bing Faulds and Duece Yuitza, YOU GUYS ROCK!! The bikes you made special and donated for auction, WERE BAD ASS!! Thank you!
Daisy Muffit, mommy is proud of you for saving your allowance to donate to the cause, for going bald in Auntie Kattie’s honor and running all those laps with our team. Colt, I am very proud of you too, you are a trooper and love you for hanging with us through those laps.

I am proud of everyone who participated in RFL this year. From what was said over the T1 Stream, this year the Second Life RFL event was the third largest in the WORLD!! Just a game huh? I think things like this prove otherwise. We raised over a quarter of a million USD in a combined effort for the cause.

New clothing designs come out sporatically or on the designers whim *wicked grin* check in often. You might find something you like. I dabble in building and texturing. I have a little shop on Nevermore island called Allusions.I sell some furniture builds, clothes, shapes, eyes, and skins. It is a small collection atm. There are also some various free clothes and items there I have made. I do custom work also. you can reach me in world at most times.
