Ziffy Zarf

Posted by Rowdy On March - 16 - 2010

From the deep south…..of England, hails Ziffy Zarf, bringing you blues harmonica, acoustic guitar-twangin’, singing & foot-tappin’ front porch style. Influenced primarily by Sonny Terry & the two Walters, Ziffy is interested in continuing the old styles of the blues while adding his own melodic edge. His singing has been said to sound like a mix between John Mayall & Mose Allison.

Forsythe Whitfield

Posted by Andy J On March - 16 - 2010

Caught somewhere between the dirt roads and the juke joints of the Mississippi delta, Forsythe Whitfield was born singing the blues and grooving a slide guitar.
His music combines old school blues with modern folk and insightful writing using a Boss Loop station and his guitar to create amazing grooves and soundscapes that enhance the feel of his music. He sounds like the bastard love child of Taj Mahal and James Taylor. Sweet songs combined with delicious blues romps and Hawaiian blues of the ukulele.

Ric Rembrandt

Posted by Andy J On March - 16 - 2010

I come from a musical family. My father sang and played piano in the tradition of Fats Waller. Both older brothers were players, one founding the LA-based rural-psych band Plain Jane in 1968 with Les Brown Jr. producing and playing drums. My first cousin, Paul Ray from Dallas, Texas grew up with Jimmy Vaughan and formed the group The Cobras, which became the first group 17 year old Stevie Ray Vaughan joined upon arriving in Austin in the ’70′s. I first took up the drums at age 6, trumpet in secondary school, then guitar in college. Since then I’ve kept my music alive songwriting and playing. I’ve been a studio musician in San Diego and LA, subbed in a couple of big name rock bands out there, but always seem to land back in Oklahoma. I own and operate my own recording studio in Tahlequah, home of the Cherokee Nation, and have been looking for another outlet to play my music live, pure and simple, and my RL friend Strummer Vultee turned me on to Second Life! With a little help from my friends Strummer, Morton Shamen, Blue4u Nowicka (another RL friend) Lea Anatra, and many others, I am now playing my music for you. I hope that you enjoy it half as much as I do playing it for you!

Peace, Ric

Zachariah Loon

Posted by Andy J On March - 16 - 2010

Zachariah tags his music Rural Acoustic Folk, Rock-n-Roll & Street Corner Blues. His songs use a down home style of writing & take a look at Oklahoma life with a wry sense of humor. Zachariah sings originals about lost loves, beat-up pickup trucks, waitin’ at the train depot, fishin’ with grampa, empty beers, going for a ride in a new car, being in love with Wonder Woman, hippie chicks and Oklahoma girls with red dirt in their blood! Also throwing in the odd cover song.

Morton Shamen

Posted by Andy J On March - 16 - 2010

Live performance in pure form, acoustic guitar and voice, singer/songwriter, troubadour, emotional interpretation, this is what you get with Morton Shamen. Recently he has started using some backing tracks created and played by him in his studio. His shows reflect his Southern heritage and road-wise insight, streaming from his home studio in Gulf Coast Florida, covering a wide variety of popular music, including fellow SL artists and playing his own material, Morton Shamen is the real thing.

Morton also performs on bass guitar, in a dual-stream format with his friend Strummer Vultee, this is quite a combination of talent, amazing in delivery and precision.
