New Things @ Nevermore

Posted by Bri On August - 25 - 2010

I am sorry to say goodbye to DJ Doug as he moves on to other things. It was fun having you @ Nevermore, and always will love ya dearly.

In the same notion, I would like to welcome Hayden Sugarplum, Isabella Utherwurdly, DJ Freddyx Menges and MrMulti Writer to Nevermore. I look forward to working with you all.

I would like to welcome back TerryLynn Melody to the concert lineup.

Nevermore will be gearing up for fall soon, and with it, our annual haunted house/maze and trick or treat trail. We have some exciting things going on for the trick or treat trail, but I am not giving out that information just yet. :) You will have to wait and see!

Updates on Nevermore

Posted by Bri On August - 18 - 2010

It has come to my attention there has been some confusion about who is currently running Nevermore in my abscence and recovery from a major health issue I am having.

1.  DAM Schmooz has never been an owner, or in any position of management @ Nevermore.  I have been made aware of a misconception that he has had any decisions in the current changes or that any of the miscommunication going on has been his fault.   Being that Mr. Schmooz has held only the position of host, that accusation made is false.

2.  Sabryne Rhode is currently the contact for all artists wishing to exhibit @ Nevermore museum.
She will continue to do so until my health allows me to step back into the helm OR if she wishes to continue on in this role after my return.

3.  As of 2 weeks from this date, Aug 18, 2010, Cladestino Milena agreed to take on the role of entertainment manager.   Notecards addressing that as well as other information was sent out with specific instructions that until Clad had a response, you were not booked.

Clad will continue to hold this position until my health allows me to step back into the helm OR if he wishes to contine on in this role after my return.

In closing, I really don’t like having to be put into the position of airing my personal real life issues to the public, nor do I really feel that I should have to justify any changes that I have to make for my own well being.

I would like to say thank you to those of you who have been understanding in this time of chaos.  You are all priceless and valued in my heart.

Until my return,

Bri

Happy Birthday, Nevermore Island!

Posted by Bri On January - 19 - 2010

Nevermore Island turned 1, Jan 17, 2010! With all the deployments and everything else, it’s been a wild ride!

We had toyed around the idea of getting an island and moving off mainland so that we could do more to help support and promote live music in Second Life. I think over our last year, we have done a heck of a job.

I would like to personally thank all of our musicians who have played for us this past year:
Strummer Vultee, Vanny Wilder, JoeUSA Shelbyville, Blue4U Nowicka, Mance Moonwall, Midnight McCarty, Friendly Fire, Phiona Ember, Trishda Kidd, Ric Rembrandt, Morton Shamen, Lightnin Lowtide, EvaMoon Ember, and Heath Elvehjem,

You all ROCK and I look forward to working with you all in the upcoming year.

The Art Museum is moving straight ahead, currently we have exhibits from two artists, Tears Indigo and Bobbi Laval. We have been honored to host the art of Scyber Magne, and Traelyn Denimore. Ms Denimore is now a permanent resident artist. We look forward in providing more original artworks from SL’s established and upcoming artists!

The E.A. Poe Society in SL is finally here! The art museum will house the gallery for Poe and his works year round. Our group is not sanctioned or do we claim to be a part of the RL Poe Society. We are working on getting readings of his works and discussions going on Sunday afternoons.

In closing, I would like to thank all of the Nevermore family for their support, hard work and friendship. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! I love ya!
